Learn about sitemaps

sitemap is a file where you can list the web pages of your site to tell Google and other search engines about the organization of your site content. Search engine web crawlers like Googlebot read this file to more intelligently crawl your site.
Ideally, if your site’s pages are properly linked, our web crawlers can usually discover most of your site. Even so, a sitemap is a helpful tool that can improve the crawling of your site, particularly if your site meets one of the following criteria:
  • Your site is really large. As a result, it’s more likely Google web crawlers might overlook crawling some of your new or recently updated pages.
  • Your site has a large archive of content pages that are isolated or well not linked to each other. If you site pages do not naturally reference each other, you can list them in a sitemap to ensure that Google does not overlook some of your pages.
  • Your site is new and has few external links to it. Googlebot and other web crawlers crawl the web by following links from one page to another. As a result, Google might not discover your pages if no other sites link to them.
  • Your site uses rich media content, is shown in Google News, or uses other sitemaps-compatible annotations.Google can take additional information from sitemaps into account for search, where appropriate.
Also, your sitemap can provide valuable metadata associated with the pages you list in that sitemap: Metadata is information about a webpage, such as when the page was last updated, how often the page is changed, and the importance of the page relative to other URLs in the site.

How quickly will Google ads start appearing on my site?

Step 1. We conduct preliminary checks on your site and your details

For the first step, we make preliminary checks on the information that you submitted in your application. This can take up to a few hours. Once we've finished, we notify you by email to let you know whether your application has progressed to the second step of the review process.

Step 2. You place the ad code on your site and we complete our review

Once your application has successfully passed the first step, you need to place the AD CODE on your submitted site. It’s essential at this stage for you to place the ad code on your site, as the review process can’t be completed until the ad code is implemented. For help getting started with ad code, please visit the AD SENCE ACADAMY
Note that live ads won’t immediately appear once you've place the ad code on your site. Until your application has been fully approved, temporary “blank ads” will be shown instead. These blank ads will blend in with the background of the page, so users won’t see them and the user experience won’t be affected. During this time you won’t be generating earnings and if you sign in to your account you’ll see a red alert banner stating your account is still under review. This review period also gives us the opportunity to CRAWL YOUR SITE and add it to our index so that we can start serving ads as soon as you’re fully approved.
After you’ve implemented your ad code and we’ve completed our review of your site, we'll make a final decision on your application. This process can take up to several days to complete, so please bear with us while we complete all the necessary checks. We'll send you an email as soon as we've made our decision. If you're approved, live ads will automatically start to show in the ad units that you've placed on your site

How to Drive Huge Traffic to your Blog?

How to Drive Huge Traffic to your Blog?
Most common problem faced by Blogger is traffic. There are many misconception attached to Traffic sources like
  • Google is the only Best way for Traffic
  • Lots of content means Traffic
  • SEO is the only way to get traffic.
Top two points hold true but the third one is not 100% true. When a blogger starts blogging and he see other blogs which exist from years, they develop a myth that huge alexa rank and traffic is achievable only by writing lots of quality posts. Well up to an extent its true, but that should not be the way to drive traffic. In these posts I will write few ways by which you can build traffic into your blog.
Quality posts and SEO

Quality of posts determine the uniqueness and a proper SEO optimization of Blog and Blog posts will ensure that you will get lots of traffic in your posts. You should also understand the need of social media optimization and optimizing posts for search engines and readers simultaneously.

Twitter
Twitter is again a great way to make your posts viral, but marketing yourself and your blog on twitter is not as easy as it sounds, but on other hand it’s not as tough as it looks. Though you need to understand the importance of word social. In simple word twitter is a less micro-blogging tool but social sharing site. Instead of promoting only your blog posts, start sharing other articles from other blogs as well.
Facebook
Facebook has become one of my favorite tool to drive traffic. I have been using it successfully to drive quality traffic to my blog. Some easy ways to drive traffic from Facebook are
  • Networked blog Application
  • Facebook Notes
  • Facebook Fan Page
  •  Facebook is growing with a great pace and if you do not start branding yourself on Facebook, you will realize what you are missing. You can also have a look at 13 facebook applications for blogger .See Shoutmeloud Facebook fan page on the sidebar and you will realize how you can brand your blog or company on Facebook.
Commenting
Commenting is one of my favorite tool to drive traffic to my blogs. Commenting also helps in getting Free backlinks and create a relation with another blogger. It is a slow process but yes one of the most effective process in my opinion. I got Page rank for my newly created blogs in one month and most of the backlinks were created because of commenting. This is the simple reason I can suggest you to start commenting as much as possible. Though make sure you don’t write comments like “Nice” “Good share”. This will never create a good impression but will make you look like a spammer. Read my previous tutorials on
Social Bookmarking Websites
Social bookmarking websites like Digg, Stumble-upon, Reddit are good and most effective ways to drive traffic. But like always there are no free lunches, making your posts popular on these sites are not easy. You need to understand every social bookmarking websites and how to make most out of it. People love quality posts, and listified (Top 10, Top 25) posts are popular among such websites.
Buy Traffic
I have never experienced this one, but if some company who provide such service, gives you targeted traffic. This will help you a lot, though you might need to think, if buying traffic is good for your blog or not? In my opinion this is only good, when you are providing any services or  selling anything. Else it may be a waste of money.
Conclusion
There is no easy and free way to drive traffic apart from buying traffic. But instead of spending money, easiest way to drive traffic is commenting, Social media sites like Twitter and facebook. If you have some time Digg and stumble-upon come to your rescue. Above all SEO of your blog and blog posts is the best way to drive traffic from search engines.
What do you think is the best way to drive traffic? Can you add more points to

how to maintain blogging frequency

Every blogger is aware that it is very important to keep your blog updated because it is useful to keep the readers visiting to your blog for reading new content and also helpful for SEO. As soon as you update your blog, search engines crawl to your blog and thus your new post can help you toget traffic from search engines.
Sometimes bloggers find it difficult to update their blog post frequently, it might be because they are doing blogging part time or busy with some other work. Whatever may be the reason, if bloggers fails to update their blogs frequently then blog might lose regular visitors and organic traffic also. Bloggers just need to follow few tips to keep their blog updated with frequent posts

5 tips to maintain your blog post frequency:

Decide when to update
Blogging without plans never gives you expected results. You must plan all your blogging activities including writing articles. Decide how many articles you want to write for your blog, it doesn’t matter that you decide to post 3 articles in a week or 3 articles in a day. You just need to stick with what you have decided, this way your readers will know when you update your blog and will expect the articles accordingly.
Write on Weekends
If you are a part time blogger or a professional blogger who is busy with other work like providing other blogging services then there might be chance that you even won’t get time to write 3 articles in a week. For this, you need to spend your time on weekend and write all 3 posts and schedule them for later. This way you don’t have to worry about publishing post on weekdays.
Choose topics for next day
If you want to update your blog daily then it would be better to select the topic of the article before one day. It is better for the bloggers who waste their time in searching for topic and at last when they get the topic, the entire mood vanishes to write the article. I always prefer to select the topic in advance, this helps me to start fresh while writing articles. Everything seems to be organized and scheduled.

Write whenever you get ideas
I am sure all the bloggers keep on thinking about blog post ideas. If you get any idea about article then either note down it or if you are free than start writing the article same time. Whenever idea strikes to our mind, it is the perfect time to write it down because we get good flow of thoughts and thus can write article fast and better.

Schedule in advance
It’s always recommended that you must schedule your articles in advance. No matter you are a full time blogger or part time blogger, we all are social people and their might be chances that you get busy and can’t publish your post which you have already drafted. Thus, make a habit to schedule at least 3 posts so that even if you are busy with other work, you won’t lose your readers who visit your blog regularly.
I hope you will find the tips effective for maintaining blog post frequency. If I am missing any tip please share in comments, I would love to learn more tips from you.
